La trama comienza cuando la hija, con una calma sobrecogedora, anuncia que tiene la firme intenci\u00f3n de quitarse la vida esa misma noche.<br><br>\n\nDesde ese instante, el p\u00fablico asiste a <strong>un di\u00e1logo implacable<\/strong> que aborda temas universales como la muerte, la enfermedad, la familia y la dificultad de comprender al otro. En Espa\u00f1a, la primera vez que se represent\u00f3 fue en <strong>1984<\/strong>, \u00a1y nada menos que por <strong>Concha Velasco y Mary Carrillo<\/strong>! Es dramaturga, guionista y novelista estadounidense.<br><br>\n\n<strong>&#8216;night, Mother<\/strong> (Buenas noches, madre) es su obra m\u00e1s conocida, un texto que aborda con franqueza el tema del suicidio y que le vali\u00f3 el Premio Pulitzer de Teatro en 1983. Tambi\u00e9n gan\u00f3 el Premio Susan Smith Blackburn, el Hull-Warriner y el Drama Desk Award por esta misma obra.<br><br>\n\nEn el \u00e1mbito del musical, escribi\u00f3 el libro y la letra de <strong>The Secret Garden<\/strong>, por el que recibi\u00f3 un Premio Tony en 1991 al mejor guion de un musical. Tambi\u00e9n escribi\u00f3 el libreto para la versi\u00f3n musical de <strong>The Color Purple<\/strong>.<br><br>\n\nTrabaj\u00f3 como <strong>periodista<\/strong> y, durante un tiempo, dio clases a ni\u00f1os y adolescentes en instituciones mentales, experiencia que influy\u00f3 profundamente en su escritura. Fue codirectora del departamento de dramaturgia de <strong>The Juilliard School<\/strong>.<br><br>\n\n<img src=\"\/agendaibiza\/imatges\/2026\/may2026\/artiteatre-Ibiza-nadia-banegas-voyaibiza-2601.webp\" alt=\"Nadia Banegas: artiteatre Ibiza (Academia de arte, teatro y escuela de verano)\" width=\"640\" height=\"232\" style=\"display:block;margin:0 auto 0 0;border-radius:18px;\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"><br>\n\n<strong style=\"color:#ff8000;\">NADIA BANEGAS<\/strong><br>\n<strong>Nadia Banegas<\/strong> naci\u00f3 en Barcelona en 1973 y es la fundadora y directora de <strong>Musicaldansa<\/strong>, un grupo de teatro amateur de Ibiza que cumple dos d\u00e9cadas de trayectoria en 2024. Estudi\u00f3 Bellas Artes y comenz\u00f3 su labor docente dando clases de teatro musical a adolescentes en el Colegio Virgen de las Nieves de Sant Jordi en 2003, antes de abrir su propia academia, <strong>El Tra\u00e7-Musicaldansa<\/strong>, en Ibiza.<br><br>\n\nSu enfoque art\u00edstico se caracteriza por un profundo compromiso con el <strong>teatro social<\/strong>. A trav\u00e9s de sus montajes, ha abordado temas como la violencia de g\u00e9nero, el bullying, los trastornos alimenticios, los abusos sexuales y el suicidio entre adolescentes. Por esta labor, Musicaldansa ha obtenido m\u00faltiples reconocimientos en los <strong>Premios Buero de Teatro Joven<\/strong>, incluyendo el premio nacional a mejor obra en 2014 por &#8216;<strong>Si pudiera desaparecer<\/strong>&#8216;.<br><br>\n\nBanegas, que imparte la <strong>t\u00e9cnica Meisner<\/strong> en sus clases, define Musicaldansa como \u00abuna escuela de vida\u00bb.
